The 5 Best Day Spas

by URBAN JOURNEY

What do you do when you’re feeling frazzled, but don’t have the time or money to jet off on a self-care vacay? Two words: Day. Spa. Here in Singapore there are some fabulously serene day spas that can ease your stress with soothing massages, revitalising facials, detoxifying steam room sessions, and more. The next time you’re in need of some serious pampering, take some time out and book into one of these luxurious spas for a few hours of bliss. Trust us, your body and mind will both thank you. Ranked in no particular order.

1. Sofitel So Singapore

Book a massage at the spa in Sofitel So Singapore and you can relax at this artsy boutique hotel all day long. Hit up the two pools, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, mud bath, or meditation garden. Recharge with a coconut water and fresh salad at the poolside restaurant. If you’re looking to get away from it all without leaving the island, you won’t regret spending a full day here. We did it over National Day weekend and felt so rejuvenated afterwards! You can book in a massage and get access to all the facilities or pay $60++ and get access to their facilities.

2. Aramsa the Garden Spa

Escape the concrete jungle and immerse yourself in nature at Aramsa The Garden Spa. Each of the rooms blends seamlessly into the lush green surroundings with garden courtyards and outdoor showers and baths. The treatments range from relaxing water therapies like milk and flower baths to recharging Swedish massages. In keeping with the garden theme, the products are all-natural and made with botanicals like healing herbs. You can even create your own massage oil elixir to take home.

Damai is one of our favourite places to sneak off to when we need some ‘me time’. This elegant wellness sanctuary has everything you need to balance your body and mind with a beautiful spa offering relaxing and revitalising body and beauty treatments, a state-of-the-art gym where you can shape up with weights and cutting edge machines, a beautiful outdoor pool, and a chic restaurant in a garden setting. And even though it’s in the Grand Hyatt Singapore, you don’t need to be a hotel guest to enjoy the facilities.

5. Tempat Senang Spa Resort

If you don’t mind going a bit further afield, we suggest a trip to Tempat Senang on Batam. Jump on a ferry and in about an hour you can be at the award-winning spa in this boutique resort. We love the Lotus Spa package where you can mix and match four different treatments for the ultimate de-stressing session. It’s not exactly five-star, but it makes for a great day out with some girlfriends. There’s also a restaurant on site for after-treatment drinks and Indonesian bites.
