Little acts can make a huge difference, especially when multiplied by the millions. That’s the idea behind Giving Week, a national movement organised by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, a non-profit that aims to create a City of Good by promoting the culture of giving.
Now in its fourth year, Giving Week offers plenty of opportunities for you to embrace the spirit of generosity with fun festivals and activities where you can support the causes you believe in, volunteer, donate your time, talent, treasure, or voice, and encourage others to make a difference. The events will run from November 27 to December 5 in various locales around the city.
Giving Week events include an action-packed evening of shopping and circus acts with social enterprises and non-profits on Club Street, carnival games for the young and old at the Sports Hub, lavish meals at SEED’s refurbished shipping container restaurant, and a public screening of films by notable Singaporean filmmakers that inspire giving. Check out their website to find out more about cool happenings going on around town.
